Cedar Scout doesn't ask for your name or email to use any tool on the site.
What stays in your browser
Your Find My Sauna answers, saved saunas, Fit Check measurements and True Cost inputs are stored in your own browser (local storage) so they're there when you come back. They aren't sent to us. Clearing your browser's site data removes them.
Share links
When you share a matchup, your picks, weights and any note you typed are written into the link itself. Anyone with the link can see them, so leave out anything private.
Analytics
Pages record anonymous events in the browser, such as which tool you used or that you clicked through to a seller, so we can see what helps people. These events don't include your name, email or the measurements you type. We also use Microsoft Clarity, which records how visitors scroll, click and move around our pages, as heatmaps and session replays, so we can find what's confusing. By default Clarity masks what you type into form fields, and Microsoft's own privacy statement covers what it collects; you can block it with any standard tracker blocker. We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and the anonymous events above. Google receives the pages you view, those events, your browser and device type and an approximate location from your IP address, and sets cookies to tell repeat visits apart. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on or any tracker blocker. Neither tool receives your name or email from us.
Seller sites
When you click through to a seller, their own privacy policy applies. Affiliate links may let the seller or its affiliate network record that the visit came from us.
We don't collect email addresses today. If we add optional email updates, we'll only send what you ask for, and every message will include a way to stop.
